I just got switched to the Hangouts. Why are people listed multiple times? Its like it is only listing the most recent hangouts or conversations I have had.

the screen you see first when you open hangouts are conversation and not contacts. Vic specifically mentioned that on Google IO keynote.

Another question. In the list there are frequently contacted banned. How do I remove someone from that list.

Ok one more question. How can I tell who is online with the nexus app? On the web version those online have a green line under them but I see no such indicator on the nexus

you cant with mobile app atm. I am sure google will update to support it soon.
