"Google has stopped" - several times a day

Just been getting this very recently. It's a little pop-up that says "Google has stopped" then gives me the option to open app again and send feedback. I'm not doing anything special when it happens...not even using search app. Needless to say, I've been, uh, sending feedback...

Any insight as to why this might be happening or is this happening to anyone else? I restart and it still happens. I have an XL with 7.1.2 with June patch.

Longshot but are all of your applications up to date or do you manually update them as needed? I've seen instances where applications that rely on Google services can cause such behaviour.

I experience the same thing and issues. Seems like when a new updated is pushed all goes haywire with it. Have not found a permanent fix for this and have restarted, cleared cache wiped the phone all to no avail

Update: Google (the company) put an update for Google (the app) in the app store. I updated and have so far not had any problems. Hopefully, that remedies the issue. Thanks.

Try downloading the latest Google App from apkmirror.com. Lot of times that will fix it.
