Google Home external bluetooth issues

On my Google Home, I have my audio output set to my Bose Soundlink Revolve+. When we stream to the Bose directly, it's fine, and when we stream from the Home directly, it's also fine. When we send the stream from the Home to the Bose, it skips constantly. Any idea on why this would be? It isn't because of distance, because it happens even when they're next to each other.
