Android Central Question

Google home gives the same answer of 1 to both of these math questions;

1. Hey Google what is 3 times 1/3 = and Google replies 1.
2. Hey Google what is 3 divided by 1/3 = and google replies 1.

Welcome to Android Central! How are you asking the second question? If Google is interpreting it as "3/1/3," then it's going to use PEMDAS rules, which in this case means it will go left to right. 3/1 = 3, and then 3/3 = 1. You'd get the right answer if you ask "What is 3 divided by 0.33."

The math questions are asked exactly as stated;
Hey Google "what is 3 times one third equal" and hey google "what is 3 divided by one third equal" and google replies with one for BOTH questions. SIRI gives the correct answer when the same question is asked.

I just tried it, and I can see what the problem is. Google is in fact transcribing the question as 3/1/3, and therefore grouping 3/1 first. I recommend sending feedback to Google about this. (I will right now as well.)

Google Home Math Problem Tuesday, July 14, 2020

The math questions are asked exactly as stated;

Hey Google or Hey Siri: "what is 3 times one third equal"
"what is 3 divided by one third equal"
Google Home replies with one for BOTH questions.
SIRI gives the correct answer when the same questions are asked:
Google Home FW 7/14/2020:

Cast firmware version: 1.49.218411
Language: English (United States)
Country code: US
MAC address: D8:6C:63:4A:9C:71
IP address: 192.168.1.67

I guess they haven't fixed it yet. Still transcribing it as 3/ 1/3, and then inadvertently using order of operations such that it's doing 3/1=3, then 3/3 (this happens on Google Assistant in general, not just Google Home devices). Not sure what else to suggest but keep giving Google feedback about it.
