Google Home listens well

Just got Google Home yesterday for an early birthday gift from my wife. Love it so far. The speaker sounds awesome when music plays. What I was most impressed about was how far Google Home reacts to your voice.

Had music playing and I went downstairs. Forgot the music was on so I said "OK Google, stop.". And sure enough it stopped. I don't even think I said it that loud but was talking in the direction up the stairs of the device.

Then I went outside and wanted to see if it can turn back on via an open window. "OK Google, play Bruce Springsteen.". Born to run starts playing. This time I was a good 60-70 feet away.

Pretty impressed!

It really is brilliant the range it has for picking up your voice.

I completely agree. I live in a 1,100 square foot condo and I can virtually command it from anywhere in here. I do need to speak up a little when I'm in the bedroom and office. I love that I can listen to music that is playing out in the kitchen (background noise) while working in the office...but even better I can pause it or turn it up/down as needed/wanted. I've never liked listening to music while working because playing right next to me tends to be distracting but in the background it's great. And while I like listening to music if I'm going to be cooking something that takes some time, I rarely took the time to turn on the bluetooth speaker, fire up my phone, find the app I want, the music I want and then play. ALL of that is now completely effortless. LOVE IT! I didn't think I was going to love this thing as much as I do!
