Google is afraid of Samsung, which is why the Pixel 4 is lackluster.

going from my note 10 to a pixel 4 would be a massive downgrade even from my OnePlus 6t there would be a bit of a downgrade. I honestly don't know why anyone would get a pixel because there are so many better choices.

Why are you in the Pixel forums then?

Samsung's TV software isn't very good either

Ironically, I really love my Samsung TV, though it's an older one with no smarts, which I prefer. It's such a tank that I just can't kill it. I did have major issues with my Note 10 though that caused me to return it.

It's ok it's only his opinion nothing more .

It gets old seeing the Samsung fan boys like you trashing something you have no intention of buying and in all likelihood have never even held in your hands. Your buying off a spread sheet and/or listening to bloggers who's sole motive is to get clicks. Bad news "sells." Did it ever cross you mind that maybe the Pixel doesn't need a billion GB of RAM or a giant battery because it's not running 84 bloatware apps in the background that send your private data to South Korea. Just a thought...

If they can't use your contacts..there isca lot of things you limit your phone to being able to do.
If yer skeered.
Just get a flip phone.

I just love it when people get together and discuss things in a respectful and mature manner.

Said the guy who doesn't use Android pay because he's afraid of security issues...

I'm not skeered of any security issues.

I choose to not have it on my phone.

I was a locksmith and safe man for 42 yrs.

My wife works in finance.

She has been to college for 6 yrs.
Its her decision too.

Don't stand up and speak for mel

You do realize that being a locksmith doesn't mean anything when it comes to cyber security. That's like a guy that used to rebuild carburetors acting like it qualifies him to comment on modern fuel injection systems in a car. Working in finance means nothing. Going to college for 6 years means nothing in terms of this discussion either. I work in finance as well and have for over 20 years. I hear of credit card numbers being stolen daily from skimming devices attached to the credit card machines when your swipe your card. I have yet to hear of one getting stolen from using Google Pay or Apple Pay. Those services assign you a completely separate number that doesn't even have the same number of characters as your 16 digit credit card number. Even if someone gets that number they can't use it. But you keep pretending like being a "safe guy" in some way validates your opinion here...

O.K. MS Bullwinkle

My Brother in Law is a Developer>
He writes programs.
His wife writes Applications that works in the program he writes.

He works for a Muiti Billion Dollar company who I do not wish to use their name.

I don’t begin to understand the technology but it is my understanding also that this makes electronic transactions safer than using a card.
Of course they’ll figure out how to attack this at some point also. Always have to stay one step ahead of the bad guys.

Exactly. If I relied on the opinions of the YouTubers and some of these people in the forums, I wouldn't have picked up the 4 XL at all. I have the Note 10+ and have used the iPhone 11Pro. Both are fantastic phones. The Pixel 4 XL still has advantages over both of them while missing some "features". None of the missing features are deal breakers at all. If I had to pick one phone it would be a tough call.

Do you think a company as big as Samsung is out to get you.

Give me a break.

They don't care who you are.
There are millions of you.

As much as I don't want to indulge the person screaming at the cloud, you're missing a pretty big point here...

It's not about a company being out to get you, it's about who you choose to give your personal data to. Most people are wary of giving their data to companies from their own country and companies that reside there. Giving your information to a foreign company/government is an even bigger deal that many are not comfortable with.

I traded my pixel 3 for a note 10+ and they gave me 600 dollars for my pixel best deal ever. My note is the best device to date for me and when I looked at the new pixel 4 I was not impressed at all the note still rocks for me. I was hoping for a lot more from Google this year but I was wrong. I also tried the iPhone pro max which is close but not as good as the note is.

It was like this for pixel 3 out the gate , not big enough ram ,storage ,notch ...then later in the year everyone loving it ..the pixel 4 will end up this way also.
