... which seems to do nothing.

I'm new to the device, and want to use the Google Keep app. It appears on the device, but whenever I tap it Google Play services pops up (which is installed on the device). My options are Deactivate or Open. I tap open and all I get is a menu of Google settings: Connected apps, Google+, Play Games, Location, Google Fit, etc etc.

I have no idea what the app expects of me. Why does Google Keep not simply run?

And help, please? TIA.

Welcome to Android Central! I wonder if it's waiting for an update to Google Play Services (which is supposed to happen automatically). Are you connected to the web? What version of Google Play Services do you have? I'm on 6.5.99.

Well, I had just downloaded Play from the Google App store, so I'm sure it was the latest version.

But oddly enough, after 5 days of scratching my head over this, it just started working this morning. No explanation. Perhaps it *was* updating Play or something, I dunno. Weird.

But thanks for your help!

Just downloaded which Play? You generally can't install Google Play Services from the Google Play Store--it gets updated automatically over the air.
