Google Keyboard

Hey everyone,

So i just updated my GS4 to kitkat and i have a question about the emoticons on the keyboard. So originally i just used the Samsung keyboard and used the little emoticons that were linked to the smile button on the left side of the text entry field.
But after the update, the emotions were taken out of the keyboard so i downloaded the Google keyboard from the play store to see if i could get them back and i only KIND OF fixed the issue. I got the emoticons back but not the same ones.
The first image shows the new ones that i don't really like. So i uninstalled google keyboard only to find that the emoticon button on the left had been replaced, so i hit it and i saw all the emoticons i like using(the second photo). But if i select any of them, the new (less liked) emoticons are used(shown in the third image). So i REinstalled google keyboard and only the actual keys changed, like it should, not the emoticon problem(third image).

Am i able to have the google keyboard, with the emoticons on the second and third image, abandoning the first image ones all together?

Hm that is weird... Try going to language and input in settings and ensure the keyboard you want is selected.
