Google launcher or Nova launcher on the 6p?

Which launcher are you guys using on your 6p and why did you choose it. I just swapped over to my Nova launcher a few minutes ago but I'm trying to decide if I'm going to stay with it or go back to stock. Which do you guys prefer? Basically I like being able to change the icons out and removing the Google search bar at the top of the screen which is why I've always mostly used Nova. With the change to Oreo the stock Google launcher was really not all that bad so I'm still on the fence. Wanted to see what everyone else is using for their home or default Launcher?

This is my Nova set up I have right now. I'll post a pic of my Google launcher set up too. Please post your home screen set picture. I'm curious to see what everyone is doing with their home screen.

Here is mine. It has everything I need on it. If I need one of my lesser used apps, I just use the app drawer. I dislike using multiple pages on the home screen.

I've been using Action Launcher for a few years but ever since the Oreo update my battery life has been lousy. It appears that Action Launcher was the culprit (it kept showing up at the top of the list) so I uninstalled it and am monitoring battery life again to see if things are back to normal.

It'll be unfortunate if that's the reason since I really like the pull out application drawer.

Yeah I list my entire battery life last night due to YouTube running in the background. I've got to figure out how to close the app down fully once I get out of it. It had me scared for s second that I had the battery issues but it was clearly YouTube consuming all my battery life last night

I'm back to my Nexus 6p running it's stock launcher. I surprised too because on all my Android devices outside of my Honor 8 which runs EMUI which is my favorite and I personally don't consider EMUI to be Android anyway I've always used Nova. Maybe it's the Oreo update but the stock version on my 6p now isn't bad at all. The only thing I dislike is the Google search bar at the top but I can live with it. I rather it be like the pixel has and have just a small portion of it showing which I hoped that Oreo would have brought to the 6p too but I guess that's exclusive to the Pixel though.

There's a Nova Launcher pre-made design that gives you the full Pixel Launcher look and feel. You install NL then download and install a backup file. Works and looks great. Can't remember where I found it, but a little bit of googling should turn it up.

Oh really? What should I Google exactly. I wouldn't mind having that set up. I thought that there was no need for Nova this time around with the Oreo update enhancing the stock Nexus launcher. Did you find this pixel download in a form of a APK file?

I googled "pixel launcher nova launcher backup" and it came up as the top hit. Here's a link to the instructions with info on the backup file all the way at the bottom: https://www.howtogeek.com/285117/ho...er-look-and-function-like-the-pixel-launcher/. Good luck!

I just downloaded Nova on here.. though I've used it on other phones. That's What I Love About Android customization!

I downloaded and installed that backup just to see what the fuss was about. Really it's very meh for me. I guess I don't care much about having a phone setup that mimics a Pixel XL. I think I'll go back to what I had.
