Google Lens crashing

I've been unable to get Google Lens to run on my new Pixel 3. I've de-installed it and re-installed it from the Play store. I've rebooted the phone.
It still fails to run at all. I just get a popup saying "Google keeps stopping". In this popup, if I select App Info, it shows me "Google - installed". I've given it full permissions. Since I am not allowed to remove "Google" to try reinstalling
All the other apps on the device runs okay.
I can't think of what else to try?

**Update**
I realized that the issue wasn't with Lens, but with the "Google" app. I then discovered it was somehow running a beta version. I deinstalled the beta version and Lens is working again.
