Georgia just changed their cell phone laws to "handsfree" so now my Bluetooth is on all the time. I use Google maps constantly. However, now that my Bluetooth is on, there is no sound from Google maps *unless* I'm listening to Bluetooth audio in my car. Is there a way to force Google maps to play sounds through my handset even though Bluetooth is connected?

Check the Bluetooth setting in the phone - there has to be a Media line, and it has to be enabled. If it's not enabled, tap it (when the headset is connected)/ If there's no line, the headset can only be used for phone calls, not Media audio (which is what Maps is).

So Google Maps classifies itself as an audio? For instance, I can be connected to Bluetooth and play a Facebook video or a Twitter video and it plays on my phone. if I understand you correctly, Google Maps is classified as audio so I have to be set to Bluetooth audio in order to hear it? It would be nice if they would add a setting to allow us to make that selection since I'm not always listening to Bluetooth audio when I am using Google Maps.

Open Maps, tap Menu>Settings>Navigation Settings, and turn off Play Voice Over Bluetooth. Does that make the voice come over the phone speaker?
