Google Maps; changing orientation

Is there a way to change the orientation in Google Maps...

For example, North is always up. Is there a way to change it to TRACK UP, kinda the way you are driving (like most GPS units).

If the compass is enabled and you hit the My Location button it should always track correctly. Even without the compass though it should track the right way when you hit my location. Not sure what you are trying to do but there is a Navigation App also that you might prefer to use.

This will only happen correctly on your phone when using navigation (if you selected it in settings). Maps alone always indicates where north is (up), but not showing when you are driving anything but north (ie if you use just maps while driving you can not get it to follow you correctly)
