Not at all.

No, it doesn't. In a week of heavier than average use, I've used 75 Mb. About 2-1/2 hrs per day.

If you use hybrid or satellite view, that will increase.

Thank you! I had always though Google Maps was a data eater for sure -- as in, as bad as YouTube or streaming .... guess not

I used about 230MB in my last 30 day cycle. If you are on a really small data plan, then that could be a problem.

Mine used 117 MB last month, 10.17 MB so far this month - barely in the top 10 data usage for the apps I use the most. Maybe you could use offline maps for the areas you visit often & see if that helps?
