Don't you wish now that AT&T had kept the internal storage at 32GB? Wonder how big the entire US map would be keep on your phone all the time.

Very interesting question. I'm sure there will be an option to save the map to sd

Very few people will ever need more than a few states. And as said above, you will most likely be able to save it to the removable sd card.

It shouldn't be too bad if you put it on your sd card. On iOS Navigon was around 2gb before they let you download individual states.

Navigon uses offline storage of about 1.7 GB for all of the US and Canada.
