Within Google Maps > Your Timeline, there is no content after January 31, 2020.

I highly doubt that it's a coincidence that my P30 Pro updated to Android/EMUI 10 overnight.

  • Google Maps > Settings > Personal content > Location History is set to on
  • Settings > Apps > Apps > Maps > Permissions > Location is allowed
  • Settings > Apps > Apps > Maps > Data usage > Network access is enabled for Mobile data, Background data and Roaming data
  • Settings > Apps > App launch > Manage manually > Maps is enabled for Auto-launch, Secondary launch and Run in background
  • Settings > System & updates > Date & time > Date, Time and Time Zone are set to Set automatically
I've reinstalled Google Maps, so hopefully that will fix it, but if not, any ideas?

Save yourself a lot of trouble and install My Places - it's like Contacts for Google Maps. An alphabetical list of all your places. Choose one, hit Navigate, and it runs maps with the saved coordinates. (Unfortunately, you usually have to "be there" to set a place up - but that can't be helped, it saves lat/lon coordinates, so it has to be there to get them.)

I have the exact same problem after updating to EMUI 10. Did you ever solve your issue?

From memory, I just unticked all tracking and GPS options (in Maps and Android itself), force close all apps, restarted the phone and then turned all GPS options back on in Maps/Android.

I have EMUI 10 and if I click on Timeline it shows me "visited places". I remember where I've been so I never use that feature. It also offers to set a widget on my home screen, the size of an app icon, to rapidly access "Timeline". I can pick a day or a place. Whatever.

Welcome to Android Central! Try cleaning the app cache/data for Maps in Settings>Apps, force stop it, then open it again and give it a few seconds to resync.
