Google Maps Voice activation

How do I activate the voice navigation on Google maps in my S5? So far get only maps and voiceless street directions. I need the voice to speak to me.

I have the same problem, I thought voice navigation was automatically supposed to be active

When you open up the maps there's two icons to the right of the search box click on the first one next to the microphone, then it'll come to a page where it shows my location and then you type in your destination under that and then they'll do the voice navigation

than you but when Bluetooth is on voice navigation doesn't work, anyway around that. please advse

Sorry can't help you there, I've never tried it with Bluetooth on

When you have Google map open and navigating make sure your volume is turned up . I had the same issue and my volume was all the way off for navigating. It's separate .
