Google Meet authentication error

I have been using Meets to connect with a teacher for years. She calls me and I accept the call with few problems. This week, when she called, there was no video or audio and I couldn't accept her call. When I tried to call her using her phone number I got an error saying it was unable to authenticate. I got the same error trying to connect to my wife's phone. The only way this worked was by clicking the New Meeting link and texting her an authentication code. She clicked the link in the message and I admitted her. The problem with this is that it is like a Zoom meeting and I can't see her video full screen.
The only changes I had made to my phone were to enable ATT Armour. I uninstalled it and restarted the phone to no avail.
How do I fix this?
I'm using a Galaxy S24+ with current Android 14.

It turns out the same happened to me. I checked after making the post and did not get the error. I was hoping someone knew what was going on so it could be fixed. But at least the backup is to create a New meeting with a code.

Welcome to AC!
Have you tried clearing data and force stop the Gmail app?

I moved this to the s24 forum for specific traffic

No. Through the Meet app.
