Can someone smarter than me help me understand the exact action of each of these options?

Looks like one l where everyone see the replies and chats and other can get individual ones without the group seeing it .

That's what I was suspecting but it's worded very confusing One uses SMS the other uses MMS and not entirely sure I was just hoping someone knew the exact action of each option here when utilizing a group chat

Yeah I agree on that MMs and other SMS, don't use group chats let me see if I can dig something up

Looks like SMS is small group and MMs is larger groups

Edit: MMs you can send pictures and sms just texts from what I've read.

Interesting but what if I want to send pictures in a large group chat but make sure that when anyone in the group responds everyone else doesn't get it only the original sender????

I don't think you can in a much larger group message looks like everyone will see it

Yeah that's weird I hate to think I may have to chat with Google there are tech support is atrocious at times and extremely hard but the language barrier to get across our concerns Nice chatting with you especially on a holiday Thanks man!

So I just changed the settings back and forth and within the conversation of several people this is what it says so I have a feeling there is no way to do what I want to do but at least there's a little bit of control with respect to not everybody getting everybody else's response all the time

Try Textra maybe it handles it differently

The fact that it says SMS does suggest that you won't be able to send a photo in a mass text (since a photo automatically makes it MMS). But it's worth testing out. Give it a try and let us know if the photo actually sends individually to each recipient, or if it converts back to an MMS group text.
