Google Messages has supposedly been upgraded to support iphone reactions. At least Messages beta has been upgraded. However I have Messages beta on both my S21 and S22 and neither offer this option. And my version number is even higher than the required version according to the news stories I read on this feature add. Anyone have any info on this?

I think so far it's only on Pixel phones but will be gradually coming to all others.

It will be coming soon. I have it on my Pixel 6 but not on my V60.

Also, make sure you are in the Beta for Google Messages. I am not sure if they are open for new users. You'll have to check and try

I'm pretty sure Android is never going to get, iPhone reactions. The same way Apple is never going to allow blue bubbles and other iMessage features in Android. It keeps people locked in the Appleverse and lures others in by making them feel excluded. So I wouldn't hold my breath if it's something you want.

under google messages' settings/advanced page, there is an option for "BUBBLES".

may i know what that does please? i tried to do "yes to all" versus "none" and i can't see any differences.

currently, it's on "none".

thank you.

Bubbles in the Google Messages app makes notifications like Facebook Messenger's floating heads. When a message comes in it will appear somewhere in the screen as a floating circle with either a profile pic or initials of the sender that can be tapped to vote three message. They can also be moved around the screen so they don't block things you want to see our use.

I saw the reactions bar when I was setting up my phone but I don't see it now. Hmmmm

I am part of the beta.. I had Iphone Reactions for a while. Then they went away after a recent update.
I just figured it was part of being in "Beta"... they tested it.. took it back to work on it some more.

Was working on my Z flip 3, but not currently on my S22 Ultra. I'm sure next update will include it.

I'm curious if anyone using a Samsung device has seen the iPhone reactions feature in their Google Messages. I've been on the beta for a couple of years and rarely see new features before they're officially rolled out. I suspect Samsung asks Google to block them on their devices until Samsung is ready to release the features.

started yesterday for me
@atliens: may i please ask where to look for indications and clues that our recent updates have brought iphone reactions to our Google Messages please?

i've tried the three dashes on the upper right and can't find any settings that have anything to do with iphone reactions or anything remotely similar to that!

i had a google messages update today, merely two hours ago, and i had another google messages update roughly 2-3 days ago.

currently, my version is:

messages.android_20220221_01_RC03.phone_samsung_dynamic

thank you.
