Just purchased the A14 5G.

Great phone so far.

I cannot seem to to figure out how to change the notification alert sound when using the Google Messaging App.

I know in the past you can select which notification sound you would want for incoming messages.

Hoping someone can assist.

I don't want to have to change messaging apps.

Thanks

Go to Settings>Apps>Messages>Notifications>Notification Categories, then tap the words Incoming Messages (not the toggle switch). Then tap Sound, and select a new tone there.

Thank you!

Another question instead of starting a new post related to the Google Message app.

When you open up the app to view your messages, you see the list of them in chronological order.

On the left side you have the name of the sender and to the right side you have the time or date that when it arrived.

Whenever someone sends me a MMS message (photo), instead of having the time or date that it arrived like it would with a SMS (text) message, it would actually show the photo on the right side instead of the time or date when received.

Is there a setting to change this so that I can see the time or date instead of the photo on the right side when a MMS message is received?

It's quite possible that is just the way it is but I figured if there was setting, I just don't know where to find it.

Thanks

I can't answer that right now because I don't have any current MMS messages as the latest in a thread, sorry.

When I long press the photo then check details for time
