The problem: When using quick reply to respond to a SMS from the lockscreen or homescreen for Google Messenger the whole screen becomes unresponsive and no matter what you try to touch it doesn't select anything. The quick fix is turn your screen off and back on and it then works.
Background: This same problem happened on my Nexus 6P and it seemed to go away and come back. I thought it was a Android 6.0 issue with the Nexus 6P or Google Messenger, but now my Samsung S7 is doing the same thing on the same application.
Is anyone else having this issue or know a fix? I've searched the interwebs to try to find something on this and have come back unsuccessful.
