My phone wifi is connected without the internet. Whenever I try to reconnect to the wifi I get an error message with the options "keep wifi connection" and "disconnect". I select the first option and it connects without the internet. My other devices connect to the wifi without any problems (I am writing this from a laptop and there are no issues with the laptop connection). I don't think it's a router problem. The IP settings are DHCP and the metered network is set to 'detect automatically'.
I don't think it's a range issue. The wifi worked just fine before.
I tapped the wifi network name and tapped "forget". I selected the same network name and it still says "connected without the internet".
I went to 'manage networks' in the advanced menu and deleted the network name. I then tried connecting to the wifi again. The problem is still there
I went to settings>connections>more connection settings and tapped "reset network settings". It reset everything but the problem is still there.
I put the phone in airplane mode for a few minutes and disabled airplane mode. The problem is still there.
I turned the wifi off for a few minutes and used mobile data. The mobile data works just fine. Turned the wifi on and the problem is still there.
I can see the wifi icon change when the wifi drops a little. This means the phone can detect the signal and changes to the signal but it can't receive data.
I'm using a samsung A01.

In situations like this, it's always worth rebooting the router, even if other devices connect to the network without issue. Unplug the router's power for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and see if it works. (If the router has a battery backup, which can be seen with combination modem/routers, also make sure to remove the battery to ensure an actual power cycle.)

I found a solution. I found the wifi login page from my laptop browser bookmarks. I copied the URL and pasted it in my email as a draft. I then turned on mobile data on my phone and accessed my email draft. I copied the URL and pasted it in the phone browser. The page loaded and I was able to type in the wifi code. It connected thankfully. I might have some trouble resetting the router if the problem appears again. I'm in a hotel and using an open network. I don't think the staff will reset the router for me because it would inconvenience all the other guests.

I'm glad you figured out a solution! I didn't realize you were at a hotel -- places like these that have a wi-fi network requiring a sign-in can be tricky sometimes if the sign-in portal doesn't show up for some reason. I see this most often on Chromebooks, but I'm not surprised that it can happen on phones as well.
