Google Music is Live!

I can log into google music beta from the laptop, but cant seem to get it from my phone. i had already dl the google music beta, but was just using it as a player, now cant seem to connect it to the cloud storage. help

If you have the Google music beta app downloaded already, then it should sync your music automatically. I got a notification when I opened my app.

Make sure you associate the gmail account you got the invite on with the music app in settings

Yeah I singed up for the invite the day it was available to do so and waited about 2-3 weeks until it came in. Not sure what the rhyme or reason is.

Can Google Music Beta play music that is already on my device or do I have to upload it using the Music Manager and then re-download it to my phone?

It does both. It will pick up music locally on your SD card and also music on your Google Music account. It also picks up local playlists. You can "pin" your cloud music (playlist, song, artist, album, etc.) so it is always cached to the device. They aren't stored as regular files but more like randomly generated file names (ex. 34hc8a.mp3). When you go to pin music it will either be grayed out, bright green, or a dull green. The bright green ones are songs you have marked to be cached and the dull green are songs already stored locally.

Every time I par my phone with my car (Ford sync) the music app starts on it's own. Is there anyway to stop this? I don't want the app to start on it's own every time I get in the car (kills the battery) .

I'm only showing the ability to cancel association of my desktop PC, not an option to add a device under device management. What am I missing here?

I was able to start using Google Music yesterday. Funny thing is I never got an e-mail stating that I had been invited. I signed up for an invite back in April. I just happened to go to the site yesterday and it let me in! So if you are still waiting for an invite, check the site again and you might be able to get in.

So did Google music randomly assign one incorrect artwork to a bunch of different albums? like all the songs i got album artwork from itunes got assigned the album artwork a pop artist!.

I have created all my playlist using itunes. They synced just fine with GM at first, but now I noticed that if I turn off the host pc, the playlist disappear from GM on both the phone and website. Anyone else having this issue?

I just checked my second email address that I had signed up with and the same thing happened.

Wow, stealth entrance.

For some reason it refuses to show anything in the album category, even though the others are fully stocked.

I have the program and all my music uploaded. Does anyone know why my android is not connection the the cloud service of the Google music?
I can only play the Mp3s on my phone. :(

You might have to go into the settings and sync it to your
Gmail account.

Ive got 6500/8500 of my songs uploaded. Goes so slow. I can't wait to finish it. Seems promising overall though.
