google music issue

is anyone else having problems installing the new version of google music?

after downloading mine says 'package not assigned correctly'

Worked fine for me.

Same thing happened to me. Uninstall the current version, then do a fresh install from the market. Worked for me.

Got it. But don't see a store tab.... How do you buy songs?

I don't see it either. From what I read, you're supposed to get music from the Android Market. I haven't seen it there yet, though.

The Music store will be available once Google has the contracts in hand from the music big boys... They have almost all of them on board, so it should be soon. As far as I remember, they have a tested and working new section in the Android Market just waiting to be pushed in a soon-to-be update.

I have an issue, too. I STILL can't get my thumbs up playlist on my phone, despite now having the ability to actually give a thumbs up ON MY PHONE. Driving me nuts.

Got an email from Google last night saying that a new version of the ANDROID Market will be pushing out in the next few days with the music store added to it.

The new app version is available now, music will be purchased via the Market. As of last check, my market hadn't updated yet, but according to the reports from their event last night, the new version of the Market is now live, but chances are that updates haven't "trickled down" to all devices yet. They are not waiting until all of the major labels are on board, it's going live now, per the report.

There may be an apk floating around out there to force the market update? I'm not sure, but everyone should get it in the next day or so I'd imagine.

Once again, I'm simply quoting what was printed last night during the event Google hosted to announce the service, I have no personal knowledge on the subject other than that.
