Google Music just starts playing after receiving a notification

Happened twice to me today (first day with Moto X on Verizon). One time I was sitting in a restaurant a lunch time. I got G Voice message and G Music just started playing a playlist.
Second time on the way back to office.... again, I received a notification and it kicked in G Music.

It's clearly a bug and I assume it's under Assist -> Driving -> Resume music play. So I unchecked this check-mark and will see if this issue happens again.

Was wondering if anyone else experienced this.

I'm running 4.2.2 and no updates available. It's Verizon after all.
Were there any other updates? All my apps are up to date

hes referring to the google play music update, not OS.
