Hey,

Is there a setting or option that allows you to use the google nav for free driving. Seems to me the only way you can get the 3rd person view etc. is if you have a set destination. I would love to replace my GPS with google nav but I cant really until I can use it just to see whats around me not to just go someplace. Thanks.

Yeah, I agree. I would like to have it just follow me .. Can we do that?

Use Latitude from the settings on maps, click on yourself and say Show on Map. When I do that, it follows me, centering the map on my location and updating as I move... However, you do not get the 'birds eye' view, you get the 'directly above' view.

P.S. shouldn't this be posted in the app section?

Or you could just select My Location from the menu and get the same result.

I'd have to agree with the OP, I'd like to have the "Nav" view open for normal driving or at least have the "My Location" view map rotate instead of always point North.
