Google Navigation commands cut off

For the last month or so, the first couple of words of nearly every direction voice command that comes from the Google Navigation app on my T'Bolt is cut off - I don't hear the command until its third or fourth word. This happens even after I did a factory reset on the phone and reinstalled the Navigation app.

Any ideas? This is an annoying problem that sometimes makes the voice part of the app unusable.
