Is there any way to clear the recent destinations list in Google Navigation on the EVO? I have tried the History Eraser app and while that does clear searches on the Google Maps it does not erase recent destinations in the Navigator. Thanks for any info.

I have a related question about Navigation. Will it run with just GPS turned on, or do you need to turn on the 3G mobile (or 4G if available) while it's running?

Once it has found a route to your destination and begins giving you directions, it no longer needs data to get you there. HOWEVER, it will not be able to reroute if you make a wrong turn (it will prompt you to return to the route), and it cannot download additional map imagery (so no satellite maps, and it can only show the road you need to travel on). Also, GPS will be more accurate and if it loses GPS for a moment, it will get a lock again much faster.

Ooohhh.. your post topic reminded me of a question i've been forgetting to ask!

Not to steal the topic or anything hah. But, is it possible some how to just have the map going, showing your little arrow and the roads that you're driving on without having a destination plugged into it?

Essentially, i just want to turn on the navigation and have to plot me where i am so i can see what roads are coming up.. turn on the layers and learn about the areas i'm driving in without having to put in a destination.

Is that possible?

Can't you just use the maps app for that?

Chose View Map in navigator then chose my location from the menu. You will have to reset the screen timeout set to never turn off or the screen will turn off on you.

Back on topic I would also like to know how to remove past locations I can figure this out surely there has to be a way?

I'm not sure i follow? When you launch Navigation.. and you put in your destination.. it starts to give you the turn-by-turn view with the upcoming directions, etc. Thats the view i want.. just without it actually giving me directions. Thats what i'm not able to figure out how to enable.

Cars that come with GPS nav will give you a street level map view of where you are constantly.. i can't seem to get that screen unless i put in a destination.

Hijackers, help! LOL. back to original topic, Only way I have found to clear it so far is by uninstalling map updates and then reinstall update. Hopefully somebody has a better solution. Thanks again for all the help.

What are you people trying to hide and from whom??? :)

Everything from everyone....:) There everywhere...lol
