Google Needs To Fix Some Issues for 1GB of RAM People

After having Chrome crash on me several times, and hearing about memory issues with the Moto G, and overall peeking into my RAM usage and seeing Google Settings take up nearly 200MB of RAM. I have come to conclusion that while Android as an OS, is better for those on less RAM, Google itself needs to fix its own apps.

You know what I did to finally have a more capable phone? I had to disable Google Settings, and without Google Settings, Google Play won't run, so I disabled it too. I refuse to believe that Google is so shortsighted they can't see their own apps and services are such memory hogs.

For anyone who experiences memory issue, I implore to check your RAM usage, and you'll see Google Apps aren't that friendly at all.

On my TF-101 running KitKat has less than 1gb of RAM and I never have problems with Chrome crashing. I do hear it has trouble on alot of devices I just wish I could figure out why this old Tegra 2 chip can still handle it so well on less.

I have no clue. It is a shame I have to disable Google Services to get a smooth experience. Before I could only keep one tab open without reloading it, and switch between two apps or otherwise it reloads. After I disable it, I can have 3 tabs open and multitask between 3-4 apps.

That is insane difference in performance. No more keyboard issues, no more home screen reloading when I press home. It is a noticeable difference. I also disabled animations and now I have a much faster device than I ever have had. But I should not have to do this in the first place.
