Google Nexus 4 volume help

I am using nexus 4 for the past 5 months and it is working fine. My recent observation is that the speaker volume is not coming to minimum even the volume down button is pressed. I am embrassed with this and people nearby can here the conversation. Even valume bar os not coming to zero when the volueme button is pressed.Is this a software problem or hardware problem. How to over come this?

Yes! I have a very similar problem, it almost seems like the sound is coming out of the rear speaker...if I turn down the volume I can barely hear the person on the other end.
Solutions anyone?

Hi All...

I just got my nexus 4 yesterday with stock android 4.2.2

It is not rooted

The in call speaker volume is very very low...

Also, the ring tone volume is very low..

Other than that I love my phone..

Please help..
