google nexus 5 connected.. but cannot transfer files?

i eventually managed to connect my nexus to pc... after a while..
but now i cannot copy or paste any files onto phone...
pop up window says i already have them files when i definatley do not.

please help
i want pictures and songs!

Did you install the drivers onto your PC? Take a look at this page and get the necessary drivers installed to your PC: Google USB Driver | Android Developers

Or, you can try transferring files wirelessly over the Wi-Fi connection using an app: https://forums.androidcentral.com/e...d=com.dooblou.WiFiFileExplorer&token=rOdBUlqm and https://forums.androidcentral.com/e....smarterdroid.wififiletransfer&token=YC6fyPHC are two such apps (others exists in the Play Store) to get you started. No drivers needed.
