Google Nexus 5 google now glitch?

Hey guys, first time poster here. I just bought the nexus 5 and its been really great. But i've recently run into a small issue thats not so bad, but annoys the crap out of me and makes my OCD rage. Sometimes when i use google now it will hear my voice perfectly. it'll catch all my words and make very little mistakes. But recently after about 2 full days of use, every so often google voice would just not recognize my voice at all so it seems. For me to get google now working again i would need to restart the entire phone, which honestly gets pretty annoying seeing how i use google now every morning getting ready, almost like the Moto x but not like the Moto x unfortunately. I am completely stock, not rooted, good wifi strength so i have no idea why its not working. I've heard that there are some microphone problems going on with some nexus 5 units, but my phone seems to be completely void of those. Made phone calls fine while google now wasn't working, and even recorded a video with google now not working so i have no idea. Im thinking it might be a software issue but who knows. If anyone could help that'd be great. This is so close to be a perfect device, but my OCD cannot allow for this to be on the phone. It annoys me greatly. It could be a software issue. I don't really use Google Now that often. But when I do use it it has worked. I hope you figure this out.
