I recently picked up the Nexus 5 and use it for navigating, geocaching and for tracking walks. Or at least that was the plan. When my S3 acted up my insurance plan covered a free replacement up to the value originally spent so I picked up the new Nexus 5.
Today when using Maps I noticed the gps doesn't update very frequently. Sometimes going a minute or more between updates and most of the time it was a half mile off. Only thing that seems to update is the direction but not the location as much on the maps program. Now I went out with it using Endomondo Pro and with the S3 I had a gps location within 20 seconds at most. It's been going for a few minutes still searching. I looked at the setting for location and it shows as high accuracy which looks to be the highest setting. It also says if I go to look at the options that it uses the satellites, wifi and the network to figure it out versus other options that use just the sattelites or sattelites and network I think was the middle option.
Is anyone else using their Nexus 5 with the gps and how is it working for you?
