If it's shipping from Texas that would be awesome.. If it's shipping from China there really isn't an overnight option.... Mine shipped today International priority from China.... That is the fastest available shipping option outside of a custom counter to counter shipment that would cost more than the phone.. Still going to probably take 2 - 3 days going international priority.... I'd be completely SHOCKED if mine makes it from China to my door by tomorrow....

But good luck my friend.... Looks like the guys who got shipment notifications on Friday morning are delivering today but they had the benefit of the weekend.......

You know I can't believe anything they say, just more waiting.

Man I knew I should have ordered from Motorola instead of the play store. Google really dropped the ball on this launch. It would have been better if they said nothing and just released the phone when they ACTUALLY had stock.

If you want to expedite ship that to MA, I'll probably get it before my play order ships. If you really don't want the phone..... Lol

Man I knew I should have ordered from Motorola instead of the play store. Google really dropped the ball on this launch. It would have been better if they said nothing and just released the phone when they ACTUALLY had stock.

I think Lollipop was way behind schedule..... They didn't submit the Nexus 6 to the FCC until October 17 and it cleared on October 24... I doubt they'd make a mass production order until it had cleared the FCC first.. Last year the Nexus 5 cleared the FCC on September 5 giving them nearly two months to build up stock.

I think they got behind and then tried to rush things causing all these messed up problems... I think these phones that are shipping to individual customers are fresh off the assembly line..... Google probably should have pushed the announcement back to October 31 and started taking preorders around November 15 with Delivery the first of December..... Instead of this half @$$ rushed released......

I'll get some when I get a chance. It's currently on the charger.

First impressions are that it's big, but not as gargantuan as I expected. It fits in my jeans front pocket (just barely). I have a 2013 moto x. It feels like it weighs the exact same size even though it's much larger. I have the 64GB midngiht blue. I loved the soft touch plastic on my moto x but the nexus unfortunately has a much more hard plastic which I can see will show every smudge. I'm excited to turn it on and get it activated, but it'll be a bit since I'm working.

Can't agree with you more. The N5 did clear the FCC crazy early last year. Most people who ordered from moto were getting shipping notifications from China and not Texas or Kentucky where they usually ship from. This whole thing just feels rushed. Hopefully the build quality doesn't suffer from this rush.

Has anybody who ordered from Motorola in the "second batch" (I think delivery by 11/26 or something close to that) received a shipment notification? Curious to see if mine is getting closer to shipment!

Yeah when I placed my Motorola order they said it would ship from the Texas warehouse.... and then the word that T-Mobile didn't get their shipments in time for a proper 11/13 launch and now all our orders are shipping directly from China just proves they were not even remotely close to ready to actually launch this device... Has to be costing them a pretty penny and cutting into some of the profits to ship them individually FedEx International Priority from China... They'd probably normally ship cases FedEx international economy weeks and weeks ahead of a launch to the US warehouses.... Way cheaper on a per device level than sending them Int Priority..... I am sure they get a really good FedEx discount because of the volume but still....

If you look at the pictures in the full review for the Nexus 6 on this site they do also have the same hole that you do.

I spoke to Raul this morning from Motorola. It went like this:
Courtney: I believe when I ordered my projected date of delivery was December 09.
Raul: Correct
Raul: Right now, the orders that are being delivered, are the ones placed on 11/06/2014
Raul: And then, since yours was placed on 11/12/2014, it is for the second wave.
Raul: I don't see any order delay in your order, however we are having some delays for the Nexus 6, but if something happen, you will be notified via email. But I am sure you will get it for the ETA shown 12/09/2014

Hello NerdTopper, when did you order the Nexus 6? I ordered mine on 6/11 and got the backorder messagge but I'm not sure if I get my phone soon since the delivery date was December 2.

I ordered it on the 11/6 off Motorola.com with an estimated shipping date of 11/19. I received "My order has shipped" email from Motorola last Friday.
