Unless I have overlooked, I haven't seen anyone mention a white Nexus 6 being shipped. Its always the blue ones. I wonder why. Anyone think the white is on short supply?

My apology..... You said in the T-Mobile thread the Nexus 6 screen was garbage... and then you this case didn't have any grip so you was going to go get another one off Amazon... you spoke negatively about the device and now negatively about the case others have said was a good case... You've just appeared to have an overall negative opinion of something each time someone says something they like about it.... Again my apologies....

Case doesn't feel slick to me.. but then again I don't have the weight of the phone in it yet either... So that could change once the device arrives and is strapped in....
What you call speak negatively, I call give my honest take of the product I tested extensively.
Almost every TPU case I have seen has grip on the side. That's why I was disappointed when I saw this one does not.
Now, the screen brightness of the N6 is 270 nits. The Note 4? 400+. That's a fact. Instead of trying to flame me, do some research.

I was confused by your post because I assumed you wouldn't even bother with a case for the Nexus 6, since you greatly disliked the screen.

My whit was pushed back a few days.
There's a thread nexus 6 vs moto x beast mode. The OP got a white.

Here, let me help you:

"The poor performance in the saturation sweep translates to equally poor performance on the ColorChecker test. The expanded gamut and saturation compression makes it effectively impossible for this display to render any sRGB content accurately. The greyscale performance helps to bring down the overall average, but the large errors with color mixtures prevent any sort of accurate image rendition.

I was highly disappointed by these results. Like I said earlier, we've seen great improvements in the quality of AMOLED displays as of late, and Google took color calibration very seriously with the Nexus 5. The Nexus 6 shows significant regression in color accuracy from the Nexus 5, and the maximum brightness is much lower. It should also be noted that despite its higher resolution, its larger size means that compared to the Nexus 5 the pixel density only increases 12% from 441 PPI to 493 PPI. The use of a PenTile RGBG subpixel layout also means that there is actually an overall decrease in subpixel density.

Overall, the Nexus 6 display is quite poor relative to the displays on other smartphones like the Galaxy Note 4, iPhone 6, and HTC One (M7). It's also a definite regression from the display on the Nexus 5, which is concerning given the fact that the Nexus 6 is $300 more expensive. It has been speculated that Motorola is unable to source the latest generation of panels from Samsung Display, which would explain why many of the panel characteristics are similar to previous generation AMOLED panels in the Note 3 and Galaxy S4. Although the efficiency of AMOLED displays when displaying black helps to reduce power usage with features like Ambient Display which wakes up the phone when notifications arrive or it is picked up, I don't believe it's worth the trade-off if it involves such heavy sacrifices in color accuracy and brightness"

And yes, I'm still getting the phone because I want to move on with technology.

Re: How many got to order and which day?

2 days from China international priority!

So in your expert professional shipping opinion, when do you think we will see movement again on our orders? It has been a full day with nothing but a label created. Is it still possible we get on Wed or is that looking unlikely now?

I got my shipping email from Google Play store, ordered 10/29, hopefully it'll come Wednesday!

What does (or did) your ship date say on Google Playstore under 'My Orders'? I ordered mine the Wed after, 11/5, and supposed to be shipped 11/21 Fri. Looks like the first wave are going on this week now from PS. Just curious....thanks and congrats!

My ship date was 11/21. So far though I've only seen Play orders ship for those of us who ordered on 10/29, I hope yours gets shipped soon!

Sweet! Good luck. I am in the second play store wave 11/5. Hoping to get my shipped email tomorrow. My pending charge dropped, but my cc balance is still down the 760+ from the phone. So hopefully good news tomorrow.

My authorization popped on my card 3 times before shipping, the third being over this weekend.

Got the same email. Oh well I thought it was a stretch to get it Wed all the way from China. I see where there is a flight coming in from Hong Kong tonight to Memphis and is Fedex. Wish ours were on it...

Usually when that happens the balance replenishes. Except this time that amount is still missing from my overall credit. Hopefully a charge goes through.

Best of luck to you. I think Gplay may be shipping in the order they sold them, as that may be the order in which they are receiving them. We all know how bad Goog is at logistics. Which is amazing, since I think they use a warehouse next to UPS main hub for their retail operation. Guess they didn't pay Big Brown for a logistics consultation.

You already said the screen was garbage so I don't need any help in understanding how you feel. I also don't need to read an article about the screen because, while I do view and read reviews; I don't base my total opinion or choice by them. ( I've also already read it)

I've seen a lot of those test done on other phones ( phones I've used and liked the screen) and just don't get that deep into it, as far as the screen technology. If it looks good to my eyes it just does.

I also read somewhere that you said you may refuse shipment of it when delivered. Based on that I assumed you didn't want the phone. Obviously the screen being garbage (according to you) isn't enough to keep you from still being interested in the phone, so I'm sorry I misunderstood you.

Back on topic, hopefully we will see some more Google Play orders get shipping notifications.

Looks like mine is at least in route to Hong Kong international airport.... the flight out of Hong Kong leaves in about 2 hours so it SHOULD make it on that flight and be in Memphis around 10:45 tonight... Then it just depends on if it gets sorted in time to make the outbound flight to Dallas (For me at least)

If it looks good to my eyes it just does.

Just a handful of people who just don't understand this or they are just in here to stir up trouble and get people who are really excited about this device all riled up... Yes this guy said the screen was garbage and he was going to just refuse delivery and now he's "Got it in his pocket right now" and still talking negatively... and then he was negative about the case I bought and post a picture that I at least had that.........

It's not hard to say... In my opinion the screen just isn't as nice as I would have liked it to be and I feel they could have done a better job or used a different/better panel.. Instead of just bashing the screen as garbage when I've not heard or read a single review that says the screen isn't anything but a tick or two behind the Note 4 screen that gets all the rave reviews.. IMO a tick or two behind the Note 4 screen is a pretty good screen...

Hopefully the play orders get to moving today.. My Motorola order is at the Hong Kong Airport and hopefully is on it's way to Memphis today... Probably Thursday at the earliest.. I don't think they can turn it from China back to Dallas by tomorrow.. But I've been wrong before and I am sure I'll be wrong again (and this is one time I really hope I am wrong)

Have you ever seen the LG G3 screen? if so, how does it compare to the Nexus 6? The reason I ask is, I heard the same complaints about the G3, which also has a QHD screen. When I had the G3 I did notice that the screen didn't get that bright, and it wasn't as colorful, but it was very sharp & clear. If the Nexus 6 screen is like that I won't have an issue with it.

Re: How many got to order and which day?

If anyone has any questions or concerns about the Nexus 6 then don't be afraid to ask since I already have it in my hands =).
