Google Nexus 6 Why Nexus?

Re: Why Nexus?

I used to be heavy into rom flashing, but after the Nexus 4, I went with the original Moto X and skipped the 5, although I did played with the 5 a bit. The Moto X features simply made me not care about rooting and flashing anymore. In fact, when I got the OnePlus, I didn't really mess with rooting either. However, without the Moto X features, I would prefer CyanogenMod over stock Android, so if I do get a Nexus, I will likely put Cyanogen on it, but not both too much with rooting and flashing.

Personally, I'm only interested in Android if I can get a Nexus 6. Android is not as fast as WP, but the purer the Android, the smoother and more stable experience I would expect to have. I was interested in a 1+1 but was reading of people brushing off bugs requiring them to reboot the phone...crashes, screen issues, etc, because the hacked up copy of Android on that device is not stable.
That was only true for early firmware, since the updates it's been very stable, and they just had a big updates that fixes many things. People like to bash devices that gets big updates, but it only shows that Cyanogen is doing a good job supporting their devices. They have roms for almost all popular Android phones, it's an achievement in itself.

I'll take a CM/AOSP rom over stock Google any day! On A GPE device, Nexus, One+ etc, these roms are 100% stable, and they add tons of features missing in stock Android.
