Google Nexus 6P Car Mount/Dock

Hi,

Which case are you using with your 6P for the Quad Lock? I've been looking for a case that the adhesive will stick on and the company says it must be hard plastic. Also, I'd like a case that is easily removable.

I have the NekTek magnetic mount, but find that every time i put it on the mount, it causes the phone to lock. I then cant unlock without removing it off.

Not sure if this is a setting or hardware issue.. But any help is appreciated.

Certainly you can't use the fingerprint reader to unlock the phone but you can use whatever your secondary method is (PIN, Pattern, Password) to unlock it. Just swipe up from the bottom of the screen and you should see the prompt.

If you have bluetooth in your car. Simply go into the security settings and add the the bluetooth as a trusted device under smart lock.
You could always add an NFC tag to your car to do this if you have no bluetooth.

This is the one I use. Just fits with a case on it. Stays in place and have been using it for a year. Never taken it off nor has it fallen off. Bottom pieces moves up/down/left/right to adjust for other phones and allows different hookups. Push the phone onto the button on the back and the sides closes to hold the phone.

With the bottom at the highest setting the side clamping arms is just below the Nexus 6P volume down button, no contact, about 1/16" to spare. Plenty of room for cases as well.

I'll second that recommendation - been using one for a couple of months now (dash mounted) and that thing is rock solid. My holster case fits in there fine.
