A few weeks back I had to reset my N7. No problems, everything installed after I synced it to my Google account, and I was back up and running. Fast forward to today - I was out and wanted to download some new albums to it, so I turned on my HTC One X hotspot and connected to it with the N7. I went to GPM, found an album I wanted to download, so I clicked on the pin - and was told "Can't download music right now. Check your internet connection." Never had any problems before, so I tried again and still no luck. I did the usual stuff - turn off the N7, restart the phone, delete the wifi connection on the N7 and create it again, but nothing worked. I checked to see if I could download the album on my phone (while using my 4G AT&T data) and that worked as advertised. When I came home the N7 connected to my home network automatically and was able to download the album without any problems.
I have no idea what's going on, and I can't find any setting that would prevent the N7 from downloading music while tethered to the phone's wifi. I haven't found anything like this in my Googling efforts today. Has anyone any ideas on what's going on?
Thanks.
