Come September 2026, are you sticking with Android

You were considering Apple?
clickbait ;)
Honestly and I can't believe it, I was briefly. I wish it was clickbait.

Google as endlessly discussed here is what it is and won't change and the change we do see isn't for the better.

Samsung, the next best thing, update promise has been broken and haven't kept up their end of the deal. Designs have stagnated and something as simple as filling the camera ring bumps in with a bigger battery instead of making the phone thinner would be a big step alone.

Apple was being considered because they are the Nvidia Shield of maintaining hardware with software updates as well as only needing to essentially optimize for one device.

If I wasn't in the US, there would be other great options but nothing else on our market is appealing from either a technological standpoint or what you get for how much they charge.

Which Samsung device are you referring to regarding lack of update support? All the flagship devices starting with the S24 series will get 7 years of support. Nothing except Pixels and iPhones got that much support in the past. https://www.sammobile.com/news/galaxy-smartphones-seven-years-android-one-ui-updates-eligibility/

There's nothing wrong with that , as I'm an Android fan and have been using an iphone since first introduced.

Yeah design wise it's a stale mate can only do so much that's why Foldable are available and probably triple Fold coming.
