Google Nexus 9 Flex in the back of the tablet?

32GB Indigo Black from Play Store here, feels pretty solid, perhaps a teeny tiny bit of flex, but certainly nothing I'd complain over and NO hollow feeling. My Nexus 10 is about the same, I dragged it out of its case to compare.

I much prefer the feel of the Nexus 9 back material to that of the Nexus 10 which feels a bit too rubbery/grippy.

Anyway, if I had a lot of flex, I'd probably consider an exchange. I doubt it is supposed to be that way.

I haven't noticed any flex on the back of my unit. I have a Lunar White model. I've noticed most of the posts complaining about the flex are from owners of black units. Maybe materials/construction differs between the two?
