I said screw it. Canceled my order for a black one and played a pre order for the white. White estimate delivery is the 5th. Black was Unknown and had not ship date. It seems according to XDA quite a few people are doing it and it changes.

I'm sticking with black, but this is very annoying that Amazon can't give us a definitive answer regarding the preorders in the black. I'm not talking about what a chat rep states either. I want an email stating the reason why we were told in the beginning that all versions were to be released 11/3 and then changed to "the item has yet to be released." We're all anxious to get our hands on it asap, and with them just dragging us along is not very good customer service, which I think we're all entitled to.

My UK Amazon order still shows dispatch 3/11 delivery 4/11 but if you look at the items in the store it now shows release 15/12??

Earlier today, I did something that I don't normally do: cancel an Amazon pre-order.

Now that Amazon charges sales tax in Minnesota, they offer no price advantage. This, and the uncertainty of a delivery date, caused me to cancel my order. I'll take my chances at Best Buy. At least Best Buy will offer easier return options if I need to exchange it for any reason. I'm assuming product availability will not be an issue once it's released.

Amazon UK just changed my delivery to 16/12 with release date of 15/12.

The 15th December seems to be the date they've updated all of the N9 models to on the storefront; frustrating for those buying through Amazon, I'm sure.

I smashed an order in to the Play Store to hedge my bets in-case this happened. Thankful I did, as it seems like (as usual for a Nexus launch) stock may be a little sparse initially. I remember missing out on the first wave of Nexus 4 phones, which meant I couldn't get my hands on one until around Feb/Mar the following year; that was a long wait. I see they've already sold out of the black, 32 GB version on the PS. My order is still showing as dispatching on the 3rd Nov - hopefully it stays that way :s

I pre-ordered the 16gb white on 10/23. I did free shipping and its still showing delivery of 11/10 to 11/13

Ended up canceling my 16GB black SKU and reordering a white 16GB with 2 day shipping and now I get a November 5th estimate. All is good again in the world.

What state are you in? NewEgg is in California, where I am so I get hit with taxes. Since Amazon now has facilities in California they charge taxes also, but have no restocking fee.

Just so you guys know, Newegg is offering the Nexus with free shipping and no taxes ^_^.

I have to be honest...I got the no taxes deal, but also got it overnighted. It was still quite a bit cheaper than Amazon with Prime (I'm a Prime member, so free 2-day, but with taxes). I think I saved $20 and we'll see how fast it comes now...

I received an update from Amazon on my 32Gb black N9... Ships on the 3rd with delivery on the 4th. Also free overnight because I complained when they changed the original delivery status.

Can we start getting into super-paranoid land? I placed my order at 12:25PM Pacific on the 17th, what time did you place yours?

I cancelled a Google Play order to go with Amazon, having some serious regrets on that right now, although it looks like Google's still claiming it will ship on the 3rd.
