For goodness sake, Google, you see us people down here? We are waiting for a new tablet. We don't care what. Nexus 7 2014. Nexus 8. Maybe Nexus 9. I don't care what. Just release a new one. You're killing us all by making us wait so long. The past 2 Nexus 7s were June July time AND IT'S SEPTEMBER. WHERE IS MY NEXUS???
We see all these leaks of the 'Volantis' or whatever it's gonna be but we don't get ANY WORD FROM GOOGLE. SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLEEEEEE

WE WANT THE NEXUS

They'll release it when it's ready.

I'd rather they make sure both the hardware and software are working fine, than rushing it to launch with a myriad of issues.

IMHO the gating factor will be Android L's releasability.

I want it to be polished and work properly and all, but I feel Dylan's pain! I wish Google would announce something already! I'm ready for my new Nexus 9 and very eager!! Can't wait!!!

True on that. But it sure seems like they are going to release it when its convenient for there profit margin.
However, all I ask is that we get the announcement of the announcement. We are in pitch black right now. The fact there is no official acknowledgment drives me nuts.

Also, They want to release it with Android L which is due at a certain time. So they have to play along with that.

The Nexus devices make Google very little money if any. They were originally designed to give developers a reference design. As a developer I hope they keep this focus and give us a unit with 64 bit processor and Android L. Also, I hope they deliver it when it is pretty clean so I don't have to debug the OS in addition to my own code.
