Did you realize the Nexus 5 has built-in magnetic (screen) turn off?

I have seen a few flip type cases which say they can turn off the screen when closed. It only took a few moments experimenting with a small magnet to determine that a magnet held roughly over the "G" in the home screen Google search bar will power off the screen. Removing the magnet brings the screen back to life.

Yes? that is what the flip cover is about.

And if you wondered the name of the sensor, its a Hall Effect sensor. Found that out the other day.

I'm familiar with Hall effect sensors; it wasn't until I saw a few flip covers for the Nexus 5 that I realized it has one. I don't believe the Nexus 4 had one, for example.
