Google notifications not working

Two day's ago all Google notifications stopped (others are working fine) I didn't change any settings. I have all of them turned on in the past I would get stock, weather and other notifications throughout the day and now nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this or any ideas on a way to restore them?

Occasionally when Google updates the Google app features will stop working.... usually turning the feature off and back on again fixes it for me.

Did you turn them off by accident in notification panel as they come in ?



Can long press the Google app then tap info >notification and see if its toggled on ?

I checked all were turned on, I turned them off rebooted the phone and turned them all back on and nothing. It now shows the last time a google notification was received was 3 day's ago and I didn't change any settings. All other apps are sending notifications fine. Don't have any data restrictions and even tried turning off adaptive battery. I have a Samsung S8 Plus using the same google account and that works fine.

Don't know how but Google Assistant was turned off and that stopped all notification's turned that back on and it's working perfectly, go figure don't know what one has to do the the other.

Other thing you can try is clear data and force stop.the Google app , if still happening Uninstall the update to Google and retest just don't let it automatically update through play store

Don't know how but Google Assistant was turned off and that stopped all notification's turned that back on and it's working perfectly, go figure don't know what one has to do the the other.

The Google Assistant has been the one most often affected for me by Google updates... it gets turned off fairly often after an update. I was going to suggest checking it but I didn't think it had anything to do with notifications. I'm glad you found a fix and shared it now I'll know what to check if I lose notifications

Truth be told I found it by accident. I kept saying "hey Google" and "OK Google" and nothing was happening I found it was somehow turned of as you say an update must have done it. I simply turned it on in within seconds all Google notifications resumed I was sure surprised and pleased so at least we know now how to resolve this for the future.
