Just got my Note 2 today from Tmobile...Man this thing is awesome! The tmobile website says I'm not really in a 4g area but im getting 13.5 mbps down and 2.5 up so jokes on them I suppose. Still have a lot to figure out on this phone, but I really want to figure out how Google Now works. Isn't there supposed to be a widget or something? I thought the nexus 7 came with one and wanted to put one on my home screen. What am I missing? Thanks.

I don't believe there is a widget per se, but I made the icon one of my 4 permanent selections in the bottom app tray.

This way, one press and Google Now is launched. The other option is to long press menu key (I personally didn't like this option because it launches the keyboard as well), or long press the home button and select the Google icon in the middle.

This is definitely close to what I was thinking... Thanks. Man, I even love how easy it is to just take a screen shot, write on it, and then upload it. .. This phone is incredible. Thanks for the help!

I took some screenshots to demonstrate what you're looking for
