Why are you swiping from the home button? Excuse my confusion but your thread is taking up unnecessary space due to your unwillingness to learn new things. FYI you don't need a whole lot of screen to swipe. I browse webpages by scrolling my finger about an inch in the vertical direction no where near the home buttons. Also, give Google Now a chance its the best part of Jelly Bean.

But to be honest it just sounds like this device is too much for you and maybe your right about returning it.

What an arrogant ****** to send such a reply. It's not constructive in the least, ignores the reality that many people express the same concern. It is a valid concern--particularly annoying during games, and perhaps more so for phone users with smaller screens. And, for the record the problem remains unfortunately.

There is a way to get around it - that is to Disable "Google Search" under Settings>Apps. At least on my phone it leaves an ugly grey box where the search used to be, but thankfully the annoyance is gone.

Bought the app, very nice, very quick.
Tried other alternatives for having a quick select list, this is smooth and no new learned actions required.
