I was in the Bay Area for a week in the beginning on July. I arrived back in the Bay area yesterday afternoon. Around dinner time, I had directions in Google now for three of the restaurants that I visited back in July. I didn't do any searching Google either time.

You didn't use any Google related app, even on a computer? Because everything Google can access the same database of past searches, etc.

If no, then that is really weird..

Awesome. Google Now is beyond search.

Not for anything to do with these three restaurants.

I will admit that I do have the checkboxes for Google's Location server and Location & Google Search. Location & Google Search does say "Let google use your location to imporve search results and other services". I guess I didn't snap to the fact that it would look at where I've been in the past and provide directions to those locations when I'm close to them again.

If you had your phone with you last time and mobile radios were on, regardless of whether or not u were running jb, Google maps probably recorded the locations that you stopped.

Or the less creepy answer, when you are away from home, such as on a trip, Google now is supposed to bring up cards for points of interest. Restaurants and land marks are included in that list.

I actually love that about Google now, absolutely one of he most useful digital tools out there right now, as long as you're okah with the occasional creepy moments.

Yes I did have my phone with me. But it is still kind of scary. that Google is tracking this info.

I don't think it is just Google Now bringing up interesting landmarks and restaurants since only these three are the ones coming up and nothing else.

I have found that Google Now is really useful. Just a bit creepy.

I wish I could get some creepy results from Google Now. All I get is directions to and from work, the locations of which I had to enter manually.

I'm jealous of your stalker phone.

You enabled search and browsing history in the browser?

I just went to my Google Dashboard and it says, "Web History: Enabled for searches only" How do I enable it for browsing? I can't find that option.

I believe it's actually incorporated in the history, just checked my settings (my apologies for the confusion). Hmmm..give it a few to let it compile data?

I really do have a stalker phone. I leave my google account logged in at home so I get a running commentary on what my wife is searching for.

My creeper Google Now happening: Everyday after work I go to pick up my son from my mother in law's. One day I get a card asking me if I would like to navigate to an address on the street she lives on. It was off about a block but still creepy.

Also, where I work is directly across the street from a Metra stop (chicago suburb commuter train) I consistently (almost everyday) get cards regarding departures heading inbound/outbound.

That's not creepy. Haha That's what Google now is meant to do. :D. At least if you don't like it, you can turn it off.

I've noticed that Google Now seems to be working really really well lately. Sports scores coming up and restaurants popping up in different cities I travel to. Weird but neat
