Hello AC formus :)
So I installed the google now launcher on my moto x but I have 2 observations/dislikes: the icons are to big and the telephone icon its not the one from stock android(see picture below), am I missing something?
Thanks, cheers from Peru

You know, I really wanted to like the Google Now launcher, but in its current state it is simply not good enough. It has zero configuration ability, and that alone keeps me from switching from Nova Prime. If you really want to stick with this launcher there are a couple of tools that can help you, one of which requires root access. If rooted you can install the Xposed Framework and use the GEL Settings mod to change, among other things, the size of the icons.

Xposed GEL Mod link:
[MOD][XPOSED] Xposed GEL Settings [V1.5.3] - xda-developers

You can also install Icon Changer from the Play Store, which does not require root access and will allow you to change the icon of any app.

Hopefully this helps. Good luck.

Can the Google Launcher be installed from the Play Store? Or does the APK have to be used. Also, do you lose any of the awesome Moto X functionality?

I didn?t like how the GEL looked on my Moto X. I am running Nova now. I am quite content with that.
