Coming from the Samsung world (S4/S7/S10), it was always nothing to migrate to a new phone or fully backup.
We also have another brand (Umidigi A9 Pro) and I tried to backup (I needed to factory reset) using Google One. Or should I say, restore.
Oddly in the settings you can specify device data, multimedia message and photos/videos but only the last two are available (not device data) in the "Get Backup" [restore] functionality. Reading the documentation it says that you can retrieve the data only after a factory reset or after set-up of a new phone.
Of course I read this only after experimenting a "disaster". Obviously I missed a step and betrayed, I was. :-X
