Google Parent on Amazon Fire

After spending hours and hours... I got Google play installed on an Amazon fire 7 inch tablet - 3 years old.

The intention was to install Google parent. Damn. It doesn't work. I get a message saying "device not compatible" or something. Grrr!

While trying to install Google play I found out that it has Android 5. That's quite shocking.

Google parent says it works from Android 4.1 onwards.

Anyone else manage to get working?

amazon fires uses a fork of android so it is not the real thing. not every android app is compatible no matter what the os version is.
